Southampton - You know that spring is officially here and summer is just around the corner when the Parish Art Museum hosts it annual Spring Fling party in their concert hall. Year 'rounders mix it up with the summer folks, many of whom make a special trip out East just for this fete. This year's crowd - over 400 strong - filled the galleries within minutes. Seems there was a lot of cabin fever going around and folks were just tickled to get out and party with friends.
The co-chairs of this annual cocktail party and community celebration were
Susan Davis and
Nancy Hardy. They promised a fun and festive evening and boy did they deliver. Wait staff swirled around the main gallery offering delectable treats from Sant Ambroeus - luscious filet mignon toast, mini caprese kebabs and spicy shrimp. As always, there was an open bar featuring delicious specialty drinks, fine wines from Niche Import Co., martinis by Glacier Potato Vodka and
Southampton Publick House ales.
Guests sipped and nibbled while poring over the wonderful offerings in the Silent Auction that include everything from designer handbags to glittering jewelry to business services - all donated by local companies.
Within a half hour of the party's start, the main hall was packed with folks dancing to the live sounds of
Todd Barrie Music. The dance floor never emptied as folks boogied down to the very last minute of the fabulous fete.
