Bette Midler, hosted a star-studded costume party called "Hulaween," to benefit the New York Restoration Project (NYRP).
Midler has earned four Grammy Awards, two Academy Award nominations, three Emmy Awards, one Tony Award, three Golden Globe Awards, and nine American Comedy Awards.
This year's event honored U.S. Senator
John Kerry and featured a special performance by
Paul Simon, a costume contest judged by
Michael Kors, and emcee
Judy Gold conducted a live auction. Celebrity guests included

The New York Restoration Project (NYRP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to reclaiming and restoring New York City parks, community gardens and open space. In partnership with the City of New York, NYRP is also leading MillionTreesNYC - an initiative to plant and care for one million new trees throughout New York City's five boroughs by 2017.
