Once again the Southampton Historical Museums and Research Center has opened its doors to the entire community to create an exhibition that displays the winter traditions of the diverse communities that have helped settle the area.

We survived and enjoyed the Hamptons International Film Festival (HIFF) just a mere week ago here on the East End. Still thinking about great film, we felt it would be exciting to take a look back on the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) as well from one of our 'native' sons who attended.

Not all important non-profit fundraising events in the Hamptons create celebrity fodder for the New York Post's "Page Six" gossip column. Yes, occasionally it can be a grassroots event that celebrates good local people in support of an essential local organization that impacts the lives of Hamptonians.

The streets of Sag Harbor echoed with the throaty sounds exuding from the exhaust pipes of a multitude of motorcycles whose riders brought their bikes out not just for the ideal riding weather, but for the amazing array of Billy Joel's bikes on display at the Christy's Art Center on Madison Street.
