Suffolk County Inducts Seven New Members Into Women's Hall Of Fame

Hauppauge - County Executive Steve Levy will induct seven remarkable women into the Suffolk Women's Hall of Fame tomorrow evening in Smithtown.

The seven joining the Suffolk County Hall of Fame are Brook Ellison of Stony Brook, Joan B. Johnson of Bay Shore, Sonia Murdock of West Islip, Susan B. Roden of Water Mill, Teresa Ward of Rocky Point, Frances Watkins of Kings Park and Julie Woodley of Setauket. These women will be recognized by Levy at a gala dinner and ceremony at Watermill Caterers in Smithtown on Wednesday, November 18 at 6:30 p.m.

"These women have risen to the top of their respective fields to become leaders in the community," Levy said. "And for that they will join the prestigious ranks of distinguished Suffolk women who have come before them. Their names will join those of all other inductees into the county's Women's Hall of Fame in a permanent site in the southwest corner of the Plaza level of the H. Lee Dennison Building in Hauppauge."
