The evening, hosted by
Seth Rogen,
Paul Rudd,
Ty Burrell and
David Krumholtz, included a line-up of comedians including
Jack Black,
Aziz Ansari,
Patton Oswalt,
Hannibal Buress and
Charlyne Yi, and culminated with a performance by
Bruno Mars.
In between performances DJ
Pauly D spun for the crowd which included
Bryan Cranston,
Sophia Bush,
Judd Apatow,
Simon Pegg, British comedian
Catherine Tate,
Kate Flannery, and
Donald Faison and fiance
Cacee Cobb. Prior to the show, attendees enjoyed specialty cocktails including the
42Below Comic Relief and the
42Below Last Laugh, and food from the Grilled Cheese Truck.
Following a week-long Twitter "war" with Rogen,
Sophia Bush ultimately attended the event with girlfriends. After winning as the highest bidder in an auction for a lunch with
Patton Oswalt at Roscoes House of Chicken and Waffles, Sophia asked a friend to take a photo of her and
Bryan Cranston with her personal cell phone. She ended the evening singing and dancing along to Bruno Mars as he covered
Montell Jordan's "This Is How We Do It."
Black teased fellow
Tenacious D member,
Kyle Gass (wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt) on his choice of attire for the evening suggesting he should have dressed up for the occasion as they were "basically opening for Bruno Mars."
