The Parrish Presents The Museum's Annual Thanksgiving Weekend Shopping Extravaganza

Southampton - Parrish Presents, the Museum's popular Thanksgiving weekend sale, will open with a Preview Cocktail Party for Benefactors, Patrons, Sponsors, and Associates on Friday, November 26, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The General Sale, which is open to the public, will take place Saturday, November 27, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, November 28, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Co-chairs of Parrish Presents are John Bjørnen and Whitney Fairchild.

Parrish Presents features a Market, Gift Bazaar, and Silent Auction. In addition, a book signing will take place at the preview cocktail party. The Market, which is housed in the Carroll Petrie Center for Education, adjacent to the Museum, consists of new and slightly used items including home furnishings, antiques, jewelry, silver, fine linens, china, fashion accessories, and much more.

The Gift Bazaar, located in the Museum's concert hall, will feature a wide range of luxury items from such specialty merchants as Antique Rug Galleria, Artikay Cashmere, The Bruce Murray Collection, LSC Designs Fine & Estate Jewelry, Lynch's Garden Center, Walker Antiques, and Sacred Sweets.

The Silent Auction will include designer handbags, Broadway packages, fashion show tickets, restaurant gift certificates, and one-of-a-kind trips, to name just of the few offerings. Bidding closes promptly at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 28.

This year's book signing event will include Duane Hampton ("Mark Hampton: An American Decorator"); Byron Janis ("Chopin and Beyond: My Extraordinary Life in Music and the Paranormal"); Adam Lewis ("Billy Baldwin: The Great American Decorator"); and Alicia Longwell, the Lewis B. and Dorothy Cullman Chief Curator, Art and Education ("First Impressions: Nineteenth-Century American Master Prints and American Landscapes: Treasures from the Parrish Art Museum"). In addition, presigned copies of Alexa Hampton "The Language of Interior Design" will be available.

The Weekend Schedule
 • Preview Cocktail Party: Market, Gift Bazaar, Silent Auction, and Book Signing: Open for Benefactors ($1,000 per person), Patrons ($500), Sponsors ($250), Associates (Nonmembers $175, Parrish Members $125) Friday, November 26, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

 • General Sale: Market, Gift Bazaar, and Silent Auction open to the public Saturday, November 27, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, November 28, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission for the General Sale is $5 per person, free for Parrish Members and children age 18 and under.
