Life@Nite: The Hamptons New Year’s Eve Edition

Looking to ring in the New Year in style? Here are your Hamptons happenings:

Southampton Historical Museum is hosting a candlelight reception and guided tours at the Rogers Mansion (17 Meeting House Lane, Southampton, 631-283-2494, www.southamptonhistoricalmuseum.org) on Saturday, December 31st from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The parlors and sitting rooms will be beautifully decorated with garlands of fresh winter greens and flowers, and the plethora of Christmas trees will be adorned with bright antique holiday decorations. Admission is $20 for adults, $15 members, and free for children 17-years-old and under. Tours will run nearly every 15 to 20 minutes and guests can enjoy light refreshments before or after their tour.

Southampton Inn (91 Hill Street, Southampton, 631-283-6500, www.southamptoninn.com) will host its 19th annual New Year's Eve Gala, which begins at 4 p.m. with Southampton Historical Museum's candlelight tour. After the festive excursion, guests will enjoy prosecco and cheese in the library until 7 p.m., followed by a cocktail hour with an open bar and hors d'oeuvres. Dinner begins at 8 p.m. and will include a 5-course feast created by Brent Newsom Caterers. Once dinner is over, attendees will enjoy live music from The Hamptons Swingtet, a live feed of the ball drop, a champagne toast and more. Those who choose to stay overnight will receive complimentary early check in on New Year's Eve, late checkout on New Year's Day, and breakfast in the Inn's restaurant on New Year's Day. Admission to the party is $175 and rooms begin at $325.

Highway Restaurant and Bar (290 Montauk Highway, East Hampton, 631-527-5372, www.highwayrestaurant.com) will feature a seasonally inspired a la carte holiday menu from Executive Chef Anand Sastry from 5 p.m. to closing, a live stream of the ball drop and a complimentary champagne toast.

After a 6 p.m. special a la carte menu seating and a 9 p.m. 4-course special menu seating, Centro Trattoria & Bar (336 Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays, 631-594-5744, www.centrohamptons.com) will ring in the New Year with live music and a live DJ, and a champagne toast.

Laugh, Dine and Dance in the New Year at Suffolk Theater (118 East Main Street, Riverhead, 631-727-4343, www.suffolktheater.com), who will kick-off the evening with the top comedians followed by music from a DJ and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the comedy show begins at 8 p.m. Admission is $45.

Long Island Aquarium & Exhibition Center (431 East Main Street, Riverhead, 631-208-9200, www.longislandaquarium.com) will host Fishes & Wishes - A Family Style New Year's Eve Party - from 6:30 to 11 p.m. Attendees will enjoy a cocktail hour, buffet dinner (with beer and wine), dancing, activities for little ones, dessert, an ice cream bar, a mock-Midnight champagne and sparkling cider toast at 10:30 p.m., and access to the Aquarium. Admission is $60 for children 3 to 12-years-old, $99 for adults and children over 12-years-old, and free for children 2-years-old and under.

New Year's Eve at the Stephen Talkhouse (161 Main Street, Amagansett, 631-267-3117, stephentalkhouse.com) will feature sets by The GE Smith Band with Chad Smith (of Red Hot Chili Peppers) at 8 p.m. and Nancy Atlas Project at 10 p.m. Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 at the door.

DJ Drop D is spinning at Zigmunds Bar's (203 Sag Harbor Turnpike, Bridgehampton, 631-919-5340, zigmunds.bar) New Year's Eve Party. The bash will take place from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Southampton Social Club's (256 Elm Street, Southampton, 631-287-1400, www.southamptonsocialclub.com) New Year's Eve Party will feature a champagne toast at midnight, party favors, hors d'oeuvres, a 4-hour open bar with top shelf liquor brands, coverage of the ball drop live from Times Square and beats by DJ Drazen. Admission begins at $95 per person, and partygoers also have the option to add a 4-course dinner, presented by award winning Chef Scott Kampf and bottle service, to their festivities. The NYE celebration will take place from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. and dinner seating will be available from 7 to 10 p.m.

Gurney's Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa (290 Old Montauk Highway, Montauk, 631-668-2345, www.gurneysmontauk.com) is going retro on New Year's Eve in honor of the hotel's 90th anniversary. The decades-themed celebration, which begins at 9 p.m., will include live music by Kim Sozzi Creations Music, Gurney's Beach Club DJ Nicole Leone, dancing, a 4-hour open bar, hors d'oeuvres, a complimentary midnight champagne toast, and a costume contest, with prizes that include complimentary stays at Gurney's, dinner at Scarpetta Beach and credit to the Seawater Spa. Admission is $150 per person. And, make sure to head back to Gurney's on New Year's Day to take part in its annual Polar Bear Plunge at 10:30 a.m. Attendees are asked to make a $10 donation to The Retreat, the East End's sole domestic violence agency.

Local favorite New Life Crisis is headlining Union Cantina's (40 Bowden Square, Southampton, 631-377-3500, www.unioncantina.net) New Year's Eve party. From 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., enjoy live music, party favors, hors d'oeuvres, a 4-hour top shelf open bar, midnight toast, coverage of the ball drop and more. Admission begins at $75 and attendees have the option to start the evening with a 4-course dinner, presented by Chef Scott Kampf, for $100 per person.

Topping Rose House (1 Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike, Bridgehampton, 631-537-0870, www.toppingrosehouse.com) will say farewell to 2016 with music from Dymanic DJ, hors d'oeuvres, and a champagne toast. The festivities will take place from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. and admission is $100 per person.

Southampton Publick House's (62 Jobs Lane, Southampton, 631-283-2800, www.publick.com) Taproom Celebration will begin at 10 p.m. The evening will include a complimentary drink, noise makers, party hats, a midnight champagne toast, music from DJ Jetset, and drink specials. Admission is $20.

North Sea Tavern's (1271 North Sea Road, Southampton, 631-353-3322, www.northseatavernrawbar.com) fete starts at 10 p.m. The evening will feature music by Paul Cassella, drink specials, and a complimentary champagne toast.

Indian Wells Tavern's (117 Main Street, Amagansett, 631-267-0400, www.indianwellstavern.com) festivities will include a 10-foot projector that will play music videos all night, half-price bottles of prosecco, $5 blood orange champagne cocktails and a viewing of the ball drop.
