Life@Nite: Champagne, Charity And Competition

On Saturday bands competed in Wall Street Rocks Battle of the Bands Round 2 at the Stephen Talkhouse which benefited the Wounded Warrior Project and ReserveAid, Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte hosted a bubbly hour on the dock at East Hampton Point which benefited the Peconic BayKeeper and Waterkeeper Alliance and The Third Annual Diversity Affluence Brunch and Awards were held on Sunday at B. Smiths.

MONC XIII the new home design store in Sag Harbor, hosted their first annual backgammon tournament on Friday. 16 players battled for several hours narrowing it down to one winner, Corbin Day, who took home a Sol y Luna leather wrapped cooler as his grand prize. Over 50 onlookers, an eclectic mix of locals, designers and manhattanites, came to watch the tournament and enjoy the festivities. Tasty nibbles were offered to party goers such as mini croques monsieurs, fish tacos and mini cheesecakes.

On Saturday, crowds of Wounded Warrior Project and ReserveAid supporters turned up at the Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett to vote for their favorite band competing in Wall Street Rocks Battle of the Bands Round 2. Competing financial bands included The Subscribers, The Moroccan Sheepherders and The Holiday Electric, a group comprised of a Hedge Fund CFO, an asset manager and a former Warner Brothers recording artist. The event included special guest performances by C3 (The Chocolate Cuckoo Clocks) and Madame Mayhem, who is releasing her debut album "White Noise" in the fall. Guests including David Hudson, Cassandra Seidenfeld, Jennifer Tripoli, Donna Drake, Leesa Rowland and Larry Wohl, Robin Cofer and Domenick D'Alleva, Jane and Joe Pontarelli, came out to show their support of Wall Street Rocks and the charities it benefits.

Also on Saturday, Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte hosted a bubbly hour on the dock at East Hampton Point which was the perfect scene as guests mingled, shared ideas, shopped at the Lexington Company benefit trunk show, all in support of the efforts of Peconic BayKeeper and Waterkeeper Alliance. Guests included Kevin Allister, Kevin McAllister, Virginia Dadey, Alex Sarah Michels, Alba Michael, Kim Cooper, Ellie Libby, Bill McKeever, Bruce Renick, Jodie Berro, Adriana, Nina and Erin Gibbs, Sheils Lennon, Jamie Rose, Sue Waterbury, Jackie Greenberg and Tiffany Dubin who enjoyed the sounds of the chanteuse Estee Maria.

The Michael J. Fox Foundation's Team Fox and The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society held their first annual Gala honoring the Music of Billy Joel. The event was hosted by actress Sean Young, Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Julie Henderson and "In the Mixx"'s Gina Giordan, and held at the East Hampton Studio on Saturday. Guests in attendance included Sonja Tremont-Morgan, Ramona Singer, Jackie Martling, Michael Wudyka, Dr. Carlos Cordon- Cardo , Sean Dalton, Edith Kirk, Andrea Peponakis-Matzner, Steve Carl, Tarik Solangi, and Harry Zapiti. The event, presented by Ocean Productions, featured Danny V's 52nd Street Band, the world's longest running tribute to Billy Joel. The band gave fans of the Piano Man a night to remember, packed with hit after chart-topping hit in a high energy, live performance. Guest also enjoyed a menu of cocktails and fine cuisine, provided by Carlyle Off the Green.

Prominent business leaders, influencers, corporate decision makers and fashionistas gathered on Sunday at B. Smith's in Sag Harbor to celebrate three distinguished leaders in civil rights activism, business and media who have achieved success as a minority or who have advanced the diversity agenda in America. The Third Annual Diversity Affluence Brunch and Awards, an event sponsored by Baume & Mercier, JPMorgan Chase, Draftfcb and Belvedere recognized Marc Morial, CEO of National Urban League, Donna Byrd, publisher of theroot.com and Laurence Boschetto, CEO and president of Draftfcb, for their accomplishments in their respective fields. Guests at the event included Dale Mason Cochran,Johnnie Cochran Jr.'s widow, style icon Shala Monroque, philanthropist Sherry Bronfman, entertainment attorney Kojo Bentil, Steven Board, executive director of 100 Black Men of America Inc., Susan Taylor, former editor-in-chief of Essense Magazine, designer Kevin Michael Barba and Justin Troy of the New York Giants.

On Thursday, Citizens for Access Rights or CfAR and Hamptons Drive-In will host their second annual Family Outdoor Movie Night at the Maidstone Park Ball Field (Maidstone Park Road, East Hampton). Gates will open at 7:30 p.m. with the movie beginning at 8:30 p.m. The featured movie will be Surf's Up, a computer-animated mockumentary family comedy film starring the voices of Shia LaBeouf, Jeff Bridges, Zooey Deschanel and Jon Heder among others. It is a parody of surfing documentaries, such as The Endless Summer and Riding Giants, with parts of the plot parodying North Shore.

Muse in the Harbor is hosting Steel Drum Happy Hour Mondays from 6 to 9 p.m. every week for the rest of the summer. They also have live music Thursdays from Steve Fredericks beginning at 7 p.m. and Sundays featuring "Blues at Muse" with Jim Turner.

Stop by Solé East for "Surf Movie Sundays". This week enjoy "The Free Way" (2004) at the free film screening. Join Rasta, Margo, Donavon Frankenreiter, Andy Irons, Dylan Longbottom and more on a journey of discovery and freedom.

On Monday enjoy a performance of a unique vaudeville adaptation of Pergolesi's opera La Serva Padrona at the South Fork Natural History Museum (SoFo) beginning at 7:00 pm.
