Life@Nite: Maksim Chmerkovskiy Celebrates Peta Murgatroyd's Birthday In The Hamptons

Southampton - The Hamptons were feeling charitable this past weekend with many charities benefits held over the weekend.

On Thursday Roberta Freymann held her second annual shopping event in honor of Baby Buggy in her namesake East Hampton store this past Thursday. The event was co-hosted by Lyss Stern, Founder of Divalysscious Moms. Guests were encouraged to bring a new or gently used book to donate to Baby Buggy and ten percent of event sales were donated to Baby Buggy. Guests enjoyed shopping and refreshments as their children were entertained by the silly magician Miss Pinkie.

DJ Universe hosted an "All White Party" at Seasons of Southampton which featured a fashion show by world renowned designer, Zang Toi. The benefit raised money for the MacDella Cooper Foundation Academy, a tuition-free boarding school for Liberia's vulnerable and at-risk youth, especially orphaned and abandoned children.

Also on Saturday, Jean Shafiroff and Southampton fashion jewelry store Sequin, founded by sisters Kim and Linda Renk, hosted a packed, kick-off event, along with store manager, Cheryl Dovenberg, for the July 21 Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation's 3rd Annual Unconditional Love benefit. The pre-party was attended by Martin Shafiroff, Lucia Hwong Gordon, Patrick McMullan, Georgina Schaeffer, and Marsha Schaeffer. Representing the Shelter were Susan Allen, the Shelter's founder and "Angel", Board President, Jonathan McCann, Board Executive V.P. and former co-founder of ARF, Sony Schotland and Board member Joel Cooper. Vice-Chair for the benefit Sharon Kerr, auction chair Nancy Jane Loewy, gift bag chair Raya Keis Knight and her husband, Cliff Knight, also attended the pre-event.

Artist Jenna Lash celebrated her "Portrayed" exhibition with over 100 guests at the Bego Ezair Gallery in Southampton on Saturday. Interior designer Geoffrey Bradfield, Jean Shafiroff, Leesa Rowland, Larry Wohl, Sharon Bush, Robin Cofer and Dominic D'Alleva were among those taking in Lash's oil based series "Imagined Memories - A Family Album" alongside pieces from her previous exhibition titled "The Art of Money." Gallery owner Marijana Bego welcomed artist Wanda Murphy, who will showcase her "Summer Uplifts" collection on August 11, Lady Lilana Cavendish, Edmundo Huerta Lucia Hwong Gordon, Matt Sandy and Lisa Simonsen while live music was performed on Main Street, complimented with prosecco, cupcakes and other sweet treats. Bego had reason to toast the occasion as it was her gallery's 300th opening.

 • Friday night "Dancing With The Stars" pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy and winner Peta Murgatroyd were all smiles celebrating Peta's birthday at Southampton Social Club.

 • Maksim and Peta then headed to Georgica on Saturday and were joined by Maksim's little brother Val. Kelly Bensimon was also at Georgica on Saturday for the Taste of Two Forks after party.

 • Joakim Noah enjoyed the beats of DJ Rony Seikaly with fellow Florida alums at South Pointe on Saturday.

 • Phyllis Mallah whose sister Anne Bancroft, was the original Mrs. Robinson, attended opening night of Terry Johnson's The Graduate at Southampton Cultural Center on Thursday. She was heard telling the cast after the performance that she had never seen the play performed on stage before.

 • Former "Sex and the City" star Chris Noth was spotted dining at 75 Main in Southampton, with son Orion and wife Tara Lynn Wilson, while FOX NFL Sunday analyst and former New York Giant Michael Strahan enjoyed dinner with a friend across the room.

 • Joy Behar was spotted at Almond on Thursday night with her husband enjoying the whole fish.

 • Nick & Toni's was a celebrity favorite with restaurateur Drew Nieporent dining with his family and enjoying the fluke crudo on Monday. On Thursday, Candice Bergen dined with her husband Marshall Rose. The two sat in front room and enjoyed the whole fish and despite the rain on Sunday newlyweds Alec Baldwin and Hilaria had a quiet dinner for two enjoying salads and fish.

On Wednesday, July 18, enjoy a performance by Mama Lee & Friends at Springs Close House in East Hampton from 5 to 7 p.m.

Sailing enthusiasts should head to on Wednesday La Superica's for a Sailing After Party beginning at 5 p.m.

On Thursday, the Montauket is hosting Sunset Set with acoustic music from Tom Muse beginning at 6 p.m.

Also on Thursday head to D'Jango's Beach Bar to have some fun during Gurney's Inn Volleyball League starting at 6 p.m.

On Saturday, head to Rock the Farm benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project to support a great cause. The event starts at 6 p.m. and features a performance by Steel Pulse.

End your weekend while watching the sun go down at East Hampton Point with live reggae music then head to Stephen Talkhouse for Reggae Sunday's beginning at 10 p.m.
