Southampton - Well, it was certainly a whirlwind weekend - did you celebrate? Hamptonites hit events, parties, openings, beaches and restaurants here, there and everywhere.

Maybe it was the heat at Saturday's soft opening party of the Stadium Red Estate in Water Mill, but guest, Jill Zarin refused to do photos "because she wasn't comfortable with the way she looked." Guests were invited to test drive select Ghost and Phatom Rolls-Royces were well aware of Zarin's presence, their dog, Ginger wandered around like she owned the place and even snapped at a few guests, talk about a guard pup. The crowed wasn't phased, they enjoyed the weather, cars, company and Beratud Belieu rose.

More than 375 guests joined Manhattan House and the New York Observer Hamptons Magazine for a Hamptons Preview Party in the landmarked Mid-Century modern residential condominium's private gardens. Guests enjoyed some of the best vineyards, art galleries and shops the Hamptons has to offer this summer and previewed the new signature-designed model residences in the building's The Modern Collection by James "Ford" Huniford and Celerie Kemble. The unveiling of the new residences follows the acclaimed success of the building's inaugural designs by Huniford, Kemble and Rita Konig, all of which have since sold.

Prospective buyers, brokers and other guests enjoyed a seasonal menu of lobster rolls, fish sliders and oyster hors d'oeuvres served by Betel, an exotic yet modern Southeast Asian restaurant located at 51 Grove Street in the West Village.

Wölffer Estate and Sparkling Pointe offered wine and champagne tastings, while artMRKT Hamptons and McNeill Art Group previewed their artwork. Additional participants included Elgot; Ligne Roset; Mountain Ridge Country Club, which provided golf and tennis demonstrations; FlyWheel; The Village Latch Inn Hotel; exhale® mindbodyspa and Bond no.9.

Huniford has designed a three-bedroom, 3.5-bath 3,196-square-foot floor-through residence featuring expansive northern and southern exposures inspired by his initial design at the building. The residence features a media room/library, windowed kitchen, breakfast room, and powder room, all designed in the spirit of Manhattan House's architect, 20th Century icon Gordon Bunshaft. Luxurious textures and finishes mark the interior, from alpaca, pony skin, horse hair and cotton, and linen upholstery, to brushed nickel hardware. South-facing offer views of Manhattan House's private gardens, and soft grays, blues and celadon achieve a seamlessly serene transition from one room to the next. Kemble's three-bedroom, three-bath 2,240-square-foot corner residence features northern, eastern and western exposures and 183 square feet of combined exterior space. She designed a classic and comfortable space accentuated by organically modern furniture forms, vintage textiles, classic furniture pieces from the 1960s and 1970s. Both residences feature distinctive artwork by innovative artists of Voltz Clarke's roster. Billy Joel does not even own a 'chopper'. I know his bikes and he dislikes that type of motorcycle. Why is it that any time someone shows up somewhere on a motorcycle it's referred to as a 'chopper'?
