Southampton - There are only a few days left until we say goodbye to the year 2010 and ring in 2011! If you're strapped for plans and looking for something fun and different to do this year, there are a wealth of parties and events being held across the Hamptons and North Fork that are sure to provide you with a fun and memorable night.

Southampton Publick House will be holding a three-course price fixe dinner in the Dining Room from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. The cost is $39.95 per person and reservations are recommended. At 10 p.m. the New Year's Eve Party will start in the Taproom. There is a $10 cover charge (except for diners) and dance the night away with DJ Dory and party favors.
If you're looking for a little more variety,
Southampton Inn will be hosting a New Year's Eve Gala overnight package, which includes a welcome reception in their library from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., a fantastic gala event featuring a five course dinner with full premium open bar, champagne toast, dancing and an overnight stay in one of their 90 uniquely decorated guest rooms. Between 8:30 p.m. and 1:30 a.m., transportation will be provided between
the Southampton Inn and Seasons of Southampton, which will be hosting three ways to ring in the New Year. An early fine dining package with à la carte beverages is available starting at 5 p.m. and is $50 per guest. At 8:30 p.m., the fine dining experience will expand to include five sensational courses. There will also be an all access, full premium open bar. The Southampton party package starts at 10 p.m. and includes a vast array of appetizers and mini deserts.
The Living Room restaurant at the Maidstone in East Hampton will feature a slow food à la Carte menu from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., or a prix fixe dinner from 9 p.m. to close which includes five courses and a glass of champagne for $125 per person.

Bistro 72, located in the chic new Hotel Indigo in Riverhead is offering a special five course New Year's Eve prix fixe dinner menu and complimentary glass of Sparkling Point Brute for $72 per person. Seating is available from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. After dinner, venture into the Indigo Ballroom where guests can dance all night to the cool jazz stylings of vocalist
Gail Storm and Quartet. They will also enjoy a premium brand open bar from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., raw bar, a North Fork tapas style menu and dessert table, with locally sourced food prepared by Chef
Lia Fallon of Bistro 72. Ticket price is $125 and rooms can be booked at Hotel Indigo separately or for a complete package price of $400.
If you're looking for an event the whole family can attend, look no further than Atlantis Marine World in Riverhead. The aquarium is hosting its annual "Fishes and Wishes" celebration which will included plenty of food, fun and entertainment including fireworks along the Peconic Riverfront. Kids activities include unlimited Submarine Stimulator rides, animal encounters, Ray Bay feeding, face painting, crafts, and more. The night will include a champagne and sparkling cider greeting, cocktail hour, dinner buffet, dessert and ice cream bar, mock-midnight champagne and cider toast, and live DJ and light show. The price for children three to 12 and seniors over 62 is $49, adults $85, and children under two are free.
To bring a little laughter to your New Year'e Eve, head to Martha Clara Vineyards in Riverhead where the Long Island Comedy Festival will present its first annual New Year's Eve Comedy Showcase. Scheduled to appear are

If you're a music lover, you must head to Westhampton Beach Performing Art Center to see Rock n' Roll Hall of Famer
Gregg Allman and his band! As founding member of the iconic
Allman Brothers Band, Gregg and his brother ignited the Southern Rock genre. A natural artist gifted with a soulful and distinctive voice as well as brilliant keyboard and guitar expertise, Allman's unique, freewheeling yet musically masterful sound is legendary! Ticket prices are $145, $120 and $100.
Oakland's Restaurant in Hampton Bays will be hosting a New Year's Eve party featuring
New Life Crisis, which was voted the number one band in the Hamptons in 2010, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Enjoy appetizers, a buffet, open bar, champagne toast at midnight, after midnight sandwiches, and more. Reservations only so call to reserve your spot as soon as possible!
For a little mystery and fantasy this New Year's Eve, head to
Phao in Sag Harbor for their "Black and White" Masquerade Ball. There will be a champagne toast for all and open bar from 10:30 p.m. until 1:30 a.m. for $60 per person. Six person minimum tables can be reserved with a two-bottle minimum for $350 per bottle. DJ Tigga will provide entertainment while guests dance the night away.
