Southampton - Even more detrimental to a Hamptons weekend than rain, is the fear of it all week long. The unfavorable forecast, the location-swapping/canceling of events, and finally, the afternoon downpours that make East Hampton Bowl a far more appealing option than getting dolled up and drenched.

Fortunately, this weekend was a charity trifecta, and even more fortunately, the weather cleared up just in time.
On Friday, outdoor patios were the place to be.
Hamptons Magazine threw a party for long-time supporter and cover model
Beth Ostrosky at Savanna's restaurant in Southampton. Ostrosky, draped in a gorgeous Geode necklace, was joined by husband
Howard Stern, who eagerly retreated to the bar after posing for press. Guests included "Real Housewives of NYC's"
Ramona Singer,
Jill Zarin, and
Kelly Killoren Bensimon, as well as
Katie Lee,
Rosanna Scotto,
Jill Martin, and
Donny Deutsch, who all stopped by to sample food and Grey Goose cocktails outdoors.
On a garden patio in East Hampton, the Hamptons Social charity series continued for a second week at Lily Pond to salute The
Watermill Center and "Warhol: Dylan to Duchamp" gallery exhibit. Hosts
Patrick McMullan,
Becka Diamond,
Eric Firestone,
Anton Perich, and
Colette enjoyed Philippe-catered food as part of the fundraising dinner program, which next Friday, will be hosted by
Jill Zarin and will honor Help for Orphans International.

Shoppers looking to stay out of the sticky sun and afternoon showers had plenty of options on Saturday.
Shecky's once again took over the Southampton Historical Museum for their annual Girls Day Out shopping event. At the bustling fair of clothes, jewelry, cupcakes, and cosmetic booths, shoppers sifted through items from Zsa Zsa Jewels, Amore dei Cani, The 5th & Madison Collection, Beauricua Cosmetics, FancySexyMe, Glam, CitySlips, She's Crafty Designs and Bee while sipping cocktails from X-Rated Fusion, Anheuser-Busch, Bacardi, and the Midori Melon Mixes Lounge, where a DJ was on hand spinning requests. To top the day off, guests left with goodie bags packed full of beauty products from Colgate, Febreeze, Softlips, The Body Shop, and more.

Over in East Hampton,
Elie Tahari and The Council of Fashion Designers of America celebrated the start of their "Sparkle in the Sun" program. In an effort to give jewelry designers a Hamptons platform, collections by
Waris Ahluwalia,
Yuvi Alpert and Danna Kobo,
Nak Armstrong,
Rachel Dooley,
Isaac Manevitz,
Patricia Von Muslin,
Irene Neuwirth,
Jill Platner, and
Janis Savit will be sold at the Tahari boutique until September.
Nearby, the Theory store hosted a style-off in which three competing designers styled three separate looks from the Theory collection. A fashionable crowd came by for cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and to check out the looks assembled by
Annabel Tollman (who's worked with
Scarlett Johansson and
Jessica Simpson),
J. Ericco (who's worked with
Alicia Keys and
Sienna Miller), and
Dani Stahl, Style Director at Nylon, who won $2,500 towards the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons. Neighboring boutique Blue & Cream debuted the new all-white Nike Sportswear Air Force 1 sneaker, inspired by the Hamptons, and launched
Jamie Jo Harris' jewelry collection "Belle Coeur" on Friday, June 30.

As other sunning alternatives, The Panoramic View Resort & Residences in Montauk hosted a private viewing fete with cocktails and gourmet bites to showcase the new 10-acre oceanfront property from Distinctive Management & PRIME Real Estate. Feuding Housewives
Jill Zarin and
Alex McCord both came with their husbands for tours of the luxury units, but reportedly stayed on opposite sides of the room and didn't speak. In Southampton, art fans including
R. Couri Hay,
Devorah Rose,
Cindy Guyer,
Elaine Sargent, and
Justin Mitchell helped artist
Marianne Mitchell toast her new "Pastoral" exhibit at the Bego Ezair Gallery. And last weekend at RVS Fine Art on Jobs Lane, artist
Kevin Berlin, along with performers in tiger body paint, put on "Kiev Days/Kiev Nights," his 12th solo show in 12 years.

Saturday night was a big night for charity.
The 11th Annual
Love Heals benefit, one of the hippest Hamptons fundraisers, took place at Luna Farm in Sagaponack, despite weather fears that necessitated a last-minute location switch in the past. Co-hosts
Mary Alice Stephenson and
Peter Davis, along with a host committee including
Daniel Benedict aand
Andrew Saffir,
Celerie Kemble and
Boykin Curry,
Cristina Greeven Cuomo,
Dini Von Mueffling,
Donny Deutsch,
Eric Villency,
Elizabeth Harrison,
Randi and
Greg Sandler,
Matt White,
Adam Alpert,
Alison Brod,
Hilary Rhoda, and
Lauran and
Charlie Walk, helped the event raise $350,000 for Love Heals, the Alison Gertz Foundation for AIDS education, which visits schools and communities to empower young people to make informed choices. While dancing to beats by
DJ Mel DeBarge, guests enjoyed a buffet of Southern-style BBQ by DeForest Gibbs, hot dogs, Ben & Jerry's ice cream, Crumbs cupcakes, Patron cocktails, and a Sony NEX photo station, where they could take a photo that would appear on the ceiling as a slideshow, forever capturing "A Perfect Picture of Summer."
Weather forecasts didn't inhibit Hamptons diners this weekend.
Sarah Jessica Parker and
Matthew Broderick snuck away for a late dinner Thursday night at Bostwick's Chowder House in East Hampton. They each started with a chowder (New England and Manhattan), then moved on to fresh steamers and two steamed lobsters.

Ethan Hawke appears to be a regular at
Indian Wells Tavern in Amagansett. He stopped in Thursday morning with his wife and daughter
Clementine for a breakfast of pancakes, BLTs and rancheros. Had they stayed later, they would have run into
Julianne Moore and friends, who grabbed salads, quesadillas and grilled cheese for lunch.
Friday was a big night at Nick & Toni's. The
Spielbergs,
Steven and
Kate Capshaw, with kids, dined on the outside patio, while
Tommy Mottola ate inside with his wife and daughter.
Kelly Bensimon picked up ribs, pulled chicken, and corn on the cob on Sunday night from
Turtle Crossing in East Hampton, where guitarist
G.E. Smith and family ate on Thursday.
Actor
Sam Waterson and female friend ordered authentic Mexican takeout from
La Fondita in Amagansett on Saturday afternoon.
And
Molly Sims went by
Georgica Restaurant on Saturday for the Love Heals after party - a popular next stop for patrons who didn't continue on to one of the many other benefits (
Parrish Art Museum,
Oceana Splash Party) scheduled for this same night.
When it rains, it pours.
