East Enders turned out in droves for the much anticipated revival of the quintessential Broadway musical, "West Side Story," directed by its original author Quogue's Arthur Laurents. The master writer, director and two time Tony Award winner stunned theater critics and audiences with his brilliant revival of "Gypsy" last year and now at the age of 91 was back on the boards to introduce the classic story of ill fated love to a new generation.
The Hamptons is truly blessed with an enormous talent pool of great artists, writers, designers, directors, financial titans and philanthropists who are not only major players on the global stage but give back to the community in so many ways, particularly to the schools in our area.

The newly and handsomely restored Beacon Theatre in New York was a joy to behold. Montauk troubadour Paul Simon was the first to grace the new stage and did so beautifully treating the crowd to a songbook of his greatest tunes.
February is Women's Heart Health Month and to highlight that cause top designers and celebrities from the Hamptons got out the red dresses during to kick-off the annual Heart Truth campaign, sponsored by the U.S. National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute.

Hamptonites Cristina Greeven Cuomo, Alexandra Lebenthal, and Heather Mnuchin hosted a special Saturday afternoon performance of George Balanchine's "The Nutcracker" to benefit the New York City Ballet's educational programs and the scholarship fund for the American Ballet Theater School - training the world's next dance stars.
Living legend Liza Minelli is packing the house with celebrities at East Hampton resident Stewart Lane's Palace Theatre. More from Broadway, Oscar and Tony Award winning actress Mercedes Ruehl who is headed back to the stage.

Hamptonites circled the globe cutting ribbons, making movies, strutting runways, and snaring medals. Red heels got big for a cause and there was even a wedding or two. In between the hustle and bustle a few celebs had time to stoll down Main Street and take time for a little pampering. 1 comment
Lights! Cameras! Action! That old saw, Hollywood on the Atlantic has never been truer than now. In recent weeks, we've had Southampton in a tizzy with the PYTs - pretty young things - from "Gossip Girls" strolling our streets and hanging out in local hotspots. And in the last few days, you would have thought the Hamptons International Film Festival had already rolled into town what with all the celebrity sightings and camera crews hitting the streets. 1 comment
Just a reminder to all of you that summer is NOT over yet. Stop rushing it. Alexa rocked Sag. Jon Bon Jovi is becoming quite a rocking philanthropist. The Trumps are simply rocky.
