We've Got Baldwins, Village Gossip, And Parties, Parties, Parties!

Billy and Alec Baldwin strut their very handsome brotherly stuff on the red carpet during the Screen Actors Guild Awards arrivals. (Wire Image)

SouthamptonAlec and Billy Baldwin are here, there, and everywhere! Alec, who is set to co-host the 82nd Oscar Awards on Sunday, March 7, won for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series for his role in "30 Rock" at the Screen Actors Guild Awards on January 23. While at the "Access Hollywood" platform prior to the awards Alec mentioned rumors that a third host may be added for this years Oscars', either the amazing Tina Fey or Tracy Morgan. This year's Oscars are, at this point, to be hosted by Steve Martin and Alec. Though I like both tremendously I think Fey would be like adding Judy Garland in with Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, putting her with Baldwin and Martin could make for an electric trio!

Billy Baldwin, whom went to the Screen Actors Guild Awards as his brother Alec's date, will be guest starring on "Gossip Girl" as the estranged "father" of the character played by Blake Lively. Though thrilled and excited to join "Gossip Girl," the very handsome 48 year old actor mused over his bruised feelings as being cast in the role of father rather then an older love interest. When he stopped with brother Alec at the "Access Hollywood" platform his thoughts were that, "Three years ago I would have been playing the older man in her life, and now all of a sudden I am playing her Dad!" Billy still looks fabulous and will begin guest starring on the April 26 episode playing Doctor William van der Woodson. Don't miss it!

Jon Bon Jovi, soon to team up with Mariah Carey and more, in Germany recently. (Wire Image)

The brothers came as each other's date to the SAG Awards, and on the red carpet they yukked it up over whom was the other's date! With Stephen just leaving "Celebrity Big Brother," everything is certainly coming up Baldwin these days!

Jon Bon Jovi, of Blue Parrot Restaurant who recently made a guest appearance on "30 Rock," will be teaming up with Mariah Carey, Leona Lewis, Miley Cyrus, Susan Boyle and Rod Stewart for Simon Cowell's special single for Haiti Charity Relief. The stars will be collaborating on a re-make of R.E.M.'s hit single "Everybody Hurts" with all proceeds going to help the citizens of Haiti.

Bon Jovi also has a 192-page hardcover book out now, released as the companion to the 2009 feature documentary "Bon Jovi: When We Were Beautiful" which marked the band's 25th anniversary. The book was in collaboration with photographer/filmmaker Phil Griffin; with breathtaking photography, and essays written by each member of the band. Talk about something unique for your Hampton's coffee table this summer!

Bon Jovi's partner in the Blue Parrot, Renee Zellweger was spotted together with current flame Bradley Cooper and pal Danny McBride this weekend at Sundance. They were there to support Cooper's friends Justin Bartha and Jonah Hill who both had movies showing there. Renee was also just named a member of the jury for the 2010 Berlin International Film Festival in Germany. Being an Oscar winner, Renee is an excellent choice to join the jury in judging the Golden Bears, Germany's Oscars!

Television personalities Alex McCord, Sonja Morgan, and Countess LuAnn de Lesseps attended the premiere of "Falling For Grace" at the Asia Society on January 26 in New York City. (Wire Image)

Countess LuAnn de Lesseps of "The Real Housewives of New York City" fame, who recently divorced has announced that she is dating again. The Countess told US Magazine, "I've started dating again; I have a few men who are courting me, so that's always nice!" So the Countess is on the single scene again, does not sound like any grass is growing under her feet! This time around she is looking for some romance, de Lesseps' says, "It's about the intentions behind the actions. It's about showing the other person that you really care and are thinking of them. It's about making someone feel special." Well that certainly rings true and kind of warms a person heart to think about here in the cold winter.

The Countess is also having herself some fun! She has recorded a dance music single titled "Money Can't Buy You Class." The 44-year-old says the song is inspired by a lot of people she knows on the scene and decided to make a fun song about them and life. She tells US Magazine that, "It's just a fun dance song. We have been dancing to it in my living room!" The single is coming out in March, look for it!

Sagaponack was just named 'The Most Expensive Small Town In America,' followed by Water Mill coming in at number six and Bridgehampton coming in at number eight. The full list can be seen at www.businessweek.com. For 2009, the median home price for Sagaponack was almost $4.5 million with Water Mill and Bridgehampton coming in between $2 million and $2.5 million according to Zillow.com. This is compared with the median home price for the whole United States which came in at $174,000 according to the National Association of Realtors. Nothing like this glaring disparity to remind you that we are living in The Hamptons!

Sean 'Diddy' Combs and son Justin Dior Combs at the M2 Ultra Lounge in New York City. (Wire Image)

Sean "Diddy" Combs, of the infamous Hamptons Summer White Party, threw a party of a different sort over the weekend. Diddy threw a major party for his son Justin Dior, one that was filmed for MTV's my "My Super Sweet Sixteen."

The red carpet bash was thrown at NY's M-2 Ultra Lounge nightclub with a line-up of performers whom included Fabulous, Lil Kim, and Jim Jones who all performed for the crowd. Upstairs was the over 21 bash, downstairs was the under 21 extravaganza. A highlight of the evening was Diddy's gift of a brand new silver Maybach which sat in front of the West 28th Street hot spot all night wrapped in a red bow! The $360,000 Maybach came complete with a driver since Justin Dior does not have his license as of yet.

Diddy also presented his son with a $10,000 check which Justin donated to Yele Haiti to benefit the earthquake victims. Guests partying the night away included the cast of the "Jersey Shore" - Trey Songz, Jules Santana, and Nicole Polizzi It was certainly a sweet 16 to remember. For those of us that were not there we will have to watch it all on MTV. No air date for this episode of "My Super Sweet Sixteen" has been released at this time.

Sag Harbor resident and Broadway veteran Elaine Stritch is turning 85 on February 2, and is currently appearing in her latest show as we speak at The Carlyle in Manhattan through February 2. A salute to the incomparable Stephen Sondheim called, "Elaine Stritch Singing Sondheim…. One Song At A Time." Stritch is no stranger to Sondheim after creating the role of Joanne in the original production of "Company" on Broadway. In the current show at The Carlyle she revisits "Company" with the songs, "The Ladies Who Lunch", along with "Send in the Clowns," "I Feel Pretty," and "Broadway Baby."

Stritch said she so enjoys doing Sondheim because, "That's what it's like to do Sondheim, I feel bad but I'm thinking great stuff, you know? 'I Like New York in June' was written by a great composer, but I don't want to be that lighthearted cause I'm not. Because I have deep problems, deep concerns, but I'm trying to get into something that challenges me. Sondheim challenges me to perform. He challenges anybody who does his work." This Hamptons and Broadway star has certainly earned every one of her birthdays! Catch her until February 2 at The Carlyle Hotel in NYC.

Have a great week everyone, and always remember to not only listen to the conversation you're in, but also to the one next to you!
