On Saturday, July 22, 2006, The CDCH Foundation for Special Children will host its 10th annual summer benefit, "The Orchid Ball", honoring the CDCH's great philanthropists over the past decade. Distinguished honorees include: Melissa Cohn, Jane McEvoy, Bobby Campbell, Maria Pashby and David Manning, Erin and Craig Reicher, and Suffolk County National Bank.
Set within a tropical oasis, the gala features cocktails, dinner and dancing to the music of The New York Players. Comedian Judy Gold hosts the Orchid Ball festivities and will conduct the luxurious live auction and diamond raffle. Chairing this summer's benefit are Erin Boisson Aries, Judi Boisson and Debra LaChance. Fatima Sanandaji and Joanna Pashby serve as Chairs of the Junior Benefit Committee. The Orchid Ball will take place in Sayre Park on Snake Hollow Road in Bridgehampton, New York (adjacent to The Hampton Classic) from 6:00 until 11:00 pm.
The Child Development Center of the Hamptons has gone from an enrollment of 14 preschoolers in 1997 to currently serving 200 children from birth through Eighth Grade. At CDCH, students receive first-rate education and the therapeutic services they need, all in an integrated, nurturing environment.
