Brown fashioned his artistic vision into a reality by founding Evidence 25 years ago. He has created a unique, enduring and vital movement language that viscerally communicates the evolution of culture throughout the African Diaspora incorporating dance, music and storytelling. His dancers are specifically trained in his movement vocabulary, and his choreography has been sought after by internationally known companies, such as Alvin Ailey and Jennifer Muller/The Works. His most recent piece "Dancing Spirit" created to honor the legendary
Judith Jamison on her 20th anniversary as Artistic Director of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre was premiered this past December as a highlight of the Ailey season to great critical acclaim.
