Last Chance Animal Rescue Fund Will Hold A Breakfast Fundraiser
Southampton - On Sunday, Aug. 23 a breakfast fundraiser will be held for pregnant and nursing dogs that are scheduled to be euthanized. A buffet brunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wild Thyme Restaurant at 129 Noyac Road in Southampton. In addition there will be a 50/50 raffle to raise money to save these helpless animals.
"There are so many pregnant dogs who wind up in high kill shelters," says Director/Rescue Ranger Whitney Brooke Knowlton. "They are usually not rescued due to the expense and time that is required to properly care for them and their litter. We also see many nursing dogs who don't find rescue for the same reason. These are beautiful dogs who are highly adoptable, we just need to be afforded the opportunity to save them."
Tickets are $40 per person and can be purchased by calling LCARF at 631-793-8980 or visiting the website atwww.lcarf.org/events.
"Until you have looked in the eyes of a a senior dog and learned their wisdom, held a sick or injured dog in your ams and felt their pain, or had your face smothered in sloppy kisses from a puppy - you can't possibly know the life of a rescuer. We find beauty in the most incomprehensible places and the otherwise homely faces. It is our gift to see beyond the dirt, terror, sadness, and defeat and find the true soul that lies within." We ARE rescue says Knowlton.
Last Chance Animal Rescue Fund is a non-profit organization that rescues adoptable animals who are scheduled to be euthanized. They are dedicated to saving as many animals as possible.
