Bridghampton - The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will host the Third Annual Breath of the Hamptons benefit in Bridgehampton, on Saturday, July 11, to help fund vital research in its search for a cure of this genetic disease. Raising nearly $300,000 last year, Breath of the Hamptons is continuing with the theme "Bound for a Cure" which serves as a reminder of the ties that bring us together in our daily fight to extend and improve the quality of life for those affected by cystic fibrosis.

The event, which will be held outdoors at the home of Jeffrey Altman, 19 Ambleside Lane in Bridgehampton, will offer fun and entertainment for singles, couples and the entire family with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, a buffet dinner by Fresh Flavors, live music by the Annie Morgan Band, and games and activities for kids of all ages with prizes, organized and led by camp counselors through the generosity of Hampton Country Day Camp for the third consecutive year.

Single tickets are $200, and family packages are $500 which include tickets for two adults and children under the age of 12. Sponsorships, which can include promotion at the event, start at $2,500. The prices of a single ticket and the family package have been lowered this year to encourage even more people to attend the event.

Breath of the Hamptons is sponsored by The Jeffrey A. Altman Foundation, Owl Creek Asset Management, and Laura and Keith Barket.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a non-profit donor-supported organization, is one of the most efficient organizations of its kind with 90 percent of every dollar of revenue raised being available to fund cystic fibrosis research, care and education programs. Charity Navigator, the country's largest independent evaluator of charities, has given the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation its coveted four-star rating for sound fiscal management. The National Institutes of Health and many prominent publications, including Forbes, have heralded the CF Foundation's innovative business model, which fuels drug discovery and development programs.
