Southampton - The Southampton Hospital Foundation has announced that the Hospital's 51st Annual Summer Party, "A Centennial Celebration," will take place on Saturday, Aug. 1.

Chaired by Sheila O'Malley Fuchs, the event will take place under the tents on Wickapogue Road in Southampton. The Hospital is also pleased to announce that Christie Brinkley will serve as honorary chair for this year's event. As in past years, the evening will benefit the Hospital's Department of Emergency Medicine.

"Southampton Hospital is truly fortunate to have such a loyal community to support the tradition of the annual Summer Party," Steven M. Bernstein, Southampton Hospital's foundation president commented. "Considering the geographical isolation of our East End communities, this generous support is critical to the delivery of quality emergency services."

Summer Party attendees will dance to the music of Alex Donner under a huge tent transformed by the imagination and creativity of Steven Stolman and Tony Urrutia, and enjoy an elegant catered dinner by Robbins Wolfe Eventeurs. Also featured will be the popular silent auction and a raffle of fabulous and extravagant trips and prizes.

Christie Brinkley is more than one of America's most successful and recognizable models - she has also achieved success as an artist, writer, photographer, designer, actress, political and environmental activist, and perhaps most importantly to her, a mother of three. Brinkley is an active and dedicated supporter of many organizations and worthwhile causes mainly focused on the well-being of children and the world they live in. She is the proud recipient of many humanitarian awards and has been honored by many distinguished organizations such as Mother's Choice, Redbook's "Mothers and Shakers Award," the Albert Einstein "Spirit of Achievement" Award, and Cookie magazine's "Smart Cookie Award."

As a Ford Model superstar, Brinkley has appeared on over 500 magazine covers, both in the United States and Europe, and has been the subject of articles appearing in numerous major publications.
