The Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation (SASF) will celebrate the 10th anniversary of its Unconditional Love Dinner Dance on Saturday, July 20.
“It is amazing that we are celebrating our 10th annual Unconditional Love Gala. It was only ten years ago that we started as the Foundation and we have achieved so much,” Kate McEntee, SASF Director of Adoptions and Junior Chair Unconditional Love Gala, reflected. “I can’t wait to see what the next ten years will bring.”
The 2019 soiree will be held under the tents at Wickapogue and Old Town Roads in Southampton. The evening will start at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail hour, followed by a dinner catered by Stone Creek Inn and dancing.
“Our host committee has been out and about- lead by Event Chair Jean Shafiroff supported by Antonella Bertello, Amy Cosman, Missy Hargraces, Sharon Kerry and Randi Schatz,” McEntee noted. “Our junior committee is now 20 juniors strong. Big thanks to junior co-chairs Kingsley Crawford, Jenny Dwork and Merritt Piro for all their help.”
Elan Artists’ Nation will provide the night’s entertainment and there will be a spectacular live auction with amazing items that include packages for five-star European hotels, group golf outings at the East End’s most prestigious golf courses, and more.
“We have over 135 silent auction items and 5 great live auction items. Thanks to junior member Emma Schenker and her family we have a fully restored 1952 MG TD,” McEntee revealed. “We will also be auctioning off vacation trips to Sun Valley and Anguilla and golf at course like Shinnecock Hills and Atlantic Golf Course.”
Gregory D’Elia will Emcee this year’s Unconditional Love, while Aimee Sadler will be recognized for her work with the Foundation. “Our honoree this year is Aimee Sadler, founder of nationally acclaimed Dogs Playing for Life, a playgroup program she started at SASF 10 years ago,” McEntee explained.
Each year SASF welcomes over 5,000 animals. Proceeds from Unconditional Love assist the shelter care for these animals while they await their forever homes, providing low cost veterinary care and dog training.
“This year we are excited to up our game and bring our dog playgroups to this next level,” she added.
Individual Tickets are $500, while Junior Tickets are $300.
