Feel like luck's on your side? Join Southampton Kiwanis for the Club's 4th annual Poker Tournament Fundraiser on Saturday, November 18 at the Elks Lodge in Southampton.
"We run a great event every year which is why we have so many repeat players," noted Scott Wilson. "I think people are always surprised that we give over $5,500 worth of amazing prizes (trip for two to Vegas, 50 inch flat screen, and more) distributed to the lucky top ten players, not to mention the open bar and dinner!"
The impressive array of prizes up for grabs include a "basket of cheer" from Herbert & Rist, gift certificates to DOPO La Spiaggia, Scotto's
Pork Store, Boardy Barn
, Union Cantina
, Cor-J Seafood, Bobby Vans, Le Chef, Little Red and other Hamptons favorites, a round of golf at Southampton Golf Club, a gift basket from Skidmores Sorts and Styles, a sander from One Source Tool, and much more.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. with a dinner, and the first round will start at 7 p.m.
The Kiwanis Club of Southampton Town is part of the global organization of volunteers committed to bettering the world, doing so one child and one community at a time. "Ultimately we are all there to support a great organization such as Kiwanis, who gives all proceeds to the kids in our community!" he noted.
The Club lends a helping hand to multiple endeavors that address fundraising, community service, and aiding youth that reside both on the East End and worldwide. "What's great about an organization like ours is that we have NO overhead, so all money raised goes out to places like the Flying Point Foundation for Autism, scholarships, camp Kiwanis and families in need," Wilson concluded.
Admission is $100, which includes the open bar, and for those that prefer to plan ahead and purchase tickets in advance, you'll receive $500 worth of bonus chips.
The Elks Lodge is located at 605 Country Road 39 in Southampton. For tickets, visit southamptonkiwanispoker.brownpapertickets.com.
