UPDATE: Get Wild! has been postponed to Sunday, August 13 from 12 to 2 p.m.
The Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center, Eastern Long Island’s sole Wildlife Hospital, will honor Dr. Justin and Amy Molnar of Shinnecock Animal Hospital during its 11th Annual Get Wild! Summer Benefit on Saturday, August 12.
From 6 to 8 p.m., partygoers will enjoy wine, light vegetarian fare, a silent auction, and live music at a private Southampton residence. Additionally, guests will also have the chance to meet some of the Center’s beloved furry friends.
“We are looking forward to seeing everyone at this beautiful oceanside venue,” shared Virgina Frati, Executive Director of the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center. “Folks will get to meet our non-releasable owls, and hawks – brave ambassadors whose stories tell you how they were injured.”
Leslie Alexander and Liz Brown will serve as Get Wild! hosts, and honorary board member Beth Stern is expected to attend.
“We expect a fun evening for all,” Frati added.
The Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center, a 501 (c)(3) not for profit organization, is dedicated to rescuing, nursing sick wildlife back to health and then releasing the animals back into their natural habitat. The Center never denies an injured or orphaned animal, and the organization is committed to “preserving and protecting the region’s native wildlife by providing rehabilitation services and public education concerning the factors that threaten its abundance and diversity.”
Tickets to the Get Wild! Summer Benefit begin at $225.
