On Saturday, July 15, get ready to get wild with Quogue Wildlife Refuge during the 11th annual Wild Night for Wildlife Gala. Held at the Quogue Wildlife Refuge, this event will support the Refuge’s continued efforts to protect the local wildlife.
“We are very excited for this Saturday’s Wild Night for Wildlife Gala!” shared Marisa Nelson, Assistant Director of the Quogue Wildlife Refuge. “Tickets are still for sale online or over the phone.”
The Gala will feature local wine and beer, cocktails, substantial hors d’oeuvres by Dockers Waterside, live music by Souled Out and impressive auctions.
Attendees will have the chance to mingle with a few Refuge special guests. “Folks that come to the Gala can enjoy meeting live owls up close, dance to fantastic music by Souled Out band, savor amazing food by Dockers Waterside, and wine, beer, and cocktails,” noted Nelson. “We will have a wide variety of auction prizes to bid on during our silent, chance, and live auction!”
This year’s benefit is especially important as a century-old Refuge building, known as the ice house, was damaged during a fire earlier this month.
“We appreciate everyone’s support, and even for folks that cannot attend, bidding opportunities for prizes can be done remotely via our website starting Wednesday evening,” added Nelson.
The Quogue Wildlife Refuge is a 305-acre expanse of protected land that serves as home to varied wildlife, some of which are permanent residents. Tickets start at $175.
