On Thursday, March 16th, Aid to the Developmentally Disabled (ADD) will host their third annual Shamrock Shindig at the Long Island Aquarium in Riverhead.
"Our organization is thrilled about the support for our Shamrock Shindig this year," said Melissa Martin, marketing coordinator for Aid to the Developmentally Disabled. "We have an amazing group of sponsors, including Suffolk County National Bank
, and an overall magical evening planned with raffles, food and live music."
Celebrate St. Patrick's Day a wee bit early as you enjoy traditional Irish food, live music by Tommy Sullivan of The Brooklyn Bridge, a raffle, hors d'oeuvres, and more. However, the most exciting part of the evening will hands down be the 120,000 Gallon Shark Tank Showdown. What is a Shark Tank Showdown you may be wondering? Well, leading up to the Shindig, those brave enough to take the plunge into the Aquarium's shark tank can set up a crowdfunding page through ADD on www.crowdrise.com
. The person that raises the most money will be awarded the opportunity of a lifetime
- experiencing a nose-to-nose swim with the sharks in the 120,000-gallon Lost City tank.
"Everyone is particularly looking forward to the Shark Tank Showdown," Martin added.
Tickets to the third annual Shamrock Shindig are $65 per person and $25 for children.
