Remember that time when Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears wore matching denim outfits and caused a red carpet frenzy at the 2001 American Music Awards?
Well this December, Eastern Long Island Hospital is giving you the chance to don denim on denim (but in a more fashionable way) with your beau during its inaugural “Denim and Dice in December” fundraiser. Hosted by all branches of the ELIH Auxiliary, TWIGS, Southold West, and East End/Shelter Island, the exciting evening will take place at Peconic Bay Yacht Club in Southold on Saturday, December 3rd from 7 to 11 p.m.
“All the Auxilians who work so hard for all this year’s events, it is a legacy to be proud of,” explained Linda Sweeney, Executive Director, Community Relations-Foundation. “Attire is jeans and jackets for men and bedazzled denim for ladies.” So don’t be afraid of the sparkle.
Along with a sea of denim, the evening includes a dinner buffet by Robbins Wolfe Eventeurs, cocktails, dessert, and a DJ. And, make sure to bring Lady Luck because attendees can raise the stakes by partaking in casino games like Texas Holdem’, and we hear the prizes are fabulous – so play smart.
“All three branches are so excited to host this event,” added Connie Connor, Event Chair. “We are most grateful to Eugene Burger and the Peconic Bay Yacht Club for opening up their doors for ELIH.”
Tickets are $125 per person and if you reserve a table for eight ($1,000), you’ll receive $200 in playing chips.
Peconic Bay Yacht Club is located at 64300 Main Road in Southold. For more information, visit www.elih.org.
