Along with offering "all docs, all day," the 9th annual Hamptons Take 2 Documentary Film Festival (HT2FF) will fête filmmaker Alex Gibney with HT2FF's Career Achievement Award during a Gala on Saturday, December 3rd.

"It is a great privilege to present our 2016 Career Achievement Award to Alex Gibney, who has been called 'the most important documentarian of our time' and 'one of America's most successful and prolific documentary filmmakers,'" expressed HT2FF founder and executive director Jacqui Lofaro.

The festivities will begin with a cocktail buffet reception at 7 p.m., followed by opening remarks and the presentation of the Career Achievement Award at 8 p.m. Gibney's latest film, Zero Days, will screen at 8:30 p.m. Considered the most comprehensive accounting to date of how a covert assignment devised by two allies with contradictory goals opened the "Pandora's box" of cyberwar, the documentary covers cyberwar and Stuxnet, the self-replicating computer malware that the United States and Israel used to terminate a vital element of an Iranian nuclear facility.

"Easily the most important film anyone has released this year, it is a documentary that deserves to be seen by every sentient citizen of this country—and indeed the world," said Godfrey Cheshire of www.rogerebert.com about the film.

The evening will conclude with a Q&A with Gibney, led by Ron Simon from the Paley Center for Media.

Gibney's impressive resume includes directing 28 documentaries, as well as serving as producer on various projects. He earned an Academy Award for Taxi to the Dark Side, and has also won several Emmys, multiple Peabodys, a Grammy, the Writers Guild Award, the Independent Spirit Award, and many other prestigious honors.

The filmmaker is responsible for Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief, The Armstrong Lie, We Steal Secrets: The Story of Wikileaks, Mea Maxima Culpa: Silence in the House of God, Park Avenue: Money, Power and the American Dream, Casino Jack and the United States of Money, Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room, Client 9: The Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer and Casino Jack and the United States of Money and many more.

The 9th annual Hamptons Take 2 Documentary Film Festival will take place at Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor from Thursday, December 1st through Sunday, December 4th.

Tickets to the Gala are $50.

Bay Street is located at 1 Bay Street in Sag Harbor. For more information, call 631-237-8055 or visit www.ht2ff.com.

Hampton Luxury Liner
Hampton Luxury Liner was started in 2000 as a more luxurious way to travel from NYC to the Hamptons and back. The clientele quickly grew and over the years Hampton Luxury liner became the preferred method of transportation to the Hamptons and NYC for many living in NYC and the Hamptons that wanted a comfortable and affordable way to travel back and forth. In 2009, HLL was taken over by Classic Coach and things with the liner didn’t change to much for years and the owner there changed the buses to Prevost as opposed to Mercedes Setra Top Class Coaches that have always been a signature of the liner.
