The Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation (SWCRF) will host its 12th annual A Hamptons Happening on Saturday, July 9th from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at the residence of Maria and Kenneth Fishel.

"The Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation is celebrating three formidable women, Sandra Lee, Jayma Cardoso and Deirdre Quinn, at the twelfth annual A Hamptons Happening," said Samuel Waxman, MD, Founder and CEO of the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation. "This year's event marks the fortieth anniversary of the Waxman Foundation and the strides we've made in fostering cutting-edge cancer research thanks to the support of the philanthropic honorees, restaurants, chefs, committee members and guests who make it a huge success every year."

The evening will be emceed by CBS2 News anchor Chris Wragge, while Sandra Lee, Jayma Cardoso, and Deirdre Quinn will be honored. Lee is best known for being a philanthropist, author, and television personality. Cardoso is the founder and owner of The Surf Lodge in Montauk and Quinn is the CEO of Lafayette 148 New York.

This year's A Hamptons Happening is chaired by event Co-Founders Marion Waxman and Laurie Schaffran and Co-Chair Karen Amster-Young. Erin Jennifer Woudsma will serve as Auction Chair and Erica LInden-Fineberg as Journal Chair.

LDV Hospitality will be the featured restaurant group at the soiree, with Fernanda Capobianco, founder of Vegan Divas, journalist, and cookbook author, as well as Francois Payard, pastry chef, restaurateur, and author, as the Honorary Lead Chef Couple.

There will once again be beautiful cabanas available for purchase and silent and live auctions. One of the highlights of the auctions is an exciting package for two to see the Tony Award-nominated hit show "Hamilton" that includes dinner with two cast members and more! Williams-Sonoma Bridgehampton is the retail partner of A Hamptons Happening and they will feature in-store promotions on behalf of the SWCRF, starting Memorial Day Weekend through Saturday, July 9th.

This event draws on average 500 guests every year and is held under a 15,000-square-foot floored, carpeted, and air-conditioned tent on 15 acres of Bridgehampton private property. Guests should expect the most delicious and fine New York cuisine. Apart from the food, there will be auctions, music by DJ David Katz, dancing, and mingling. Participating restaurants include The Savory, The Sweet, Potable, and dozens more. The event is one of the highlights of the summer and also serves as a time to raise money to fund science's quest for a cure for cancer.

A Hamptons Happening Committee includes Chris Arlotta, Mario Pecoraro, Tammy Caress, Diana Chudnoff, Becca Goldberg, Marcia Lavipour, Jessica Mackin, Pamela Morgan, Michael Trokel, Edward Sadovnik, Sarah Sarpolis, and Bettina and Spencer Waxman.

Tickets are $375 and $175 for millennials (30 and under).
