The Southampton Historical Museum is inviting the East End community to celebrate the summer at the 2016 From Sea to Shining Sea Halsey House Gala on Saturday, July 9th. Taking place on the lawn of Southampton's oldest home, established in 1648, the Thomas Halsey Homestead will provide the backdrop for this year's gala. Surrounded by a colonial landscape and herb gardens, guests will enjoy sunset cocktails and dinner made from locally sourced foods on the historic grounds.

Along with the "patriotic atmosphere" and beautiful grounds where "spontaneous dancing is encouraged", attendees can also take part in a silent auction, curated to offer the "essentials of life in the Hamptons", such as a cocktail cruise on a wooden sailboat, work by local artists, and a private dinner inside the Halsey House. The proceeds of the auction will support the Educational Programs offered by the Southampton Historical Museum.

In addition to participating in the silent auction, guests will be invited to explore the old barn which is being opened for the event, and to learn more about the Halsey Master Plan as they enjoy both a live acoustic performance and music by DJ Twilo. The event will also feature a signature drink by Chef Kyle for "further refreshment".

"Steeped in Americana, the Halsey House Gala is one of the few summer events for locals and summer residents alike. From politicians to business people to the occasional celebrity, it is a who's who of dedicated community members mixing it up for the night," said Linda Stabler-Talty. "This year, we've invited DJ Twilo back to continue the dance floor antics."

The 2016 gala will begin at 5:30 p.m., giving attendees an extra half hour of festivities, and last till 8 p.m. Guests will receive gift bags featuring local delicacies including Southampton Soap, spices by Carissa, candles, and more.

Tickets are $20 for "yearlings" (ages 20 and below), $50 for "homesteaders" (ages 21 to 30), and "settler" tickets will be $125 in advance, or $150 at the door.

The Thomas Halsey Homestead is located at 249 South Main Street in Southampton. For more information, call 631-283-2494 or visit www.southhamptonhistoricalmuseum.org.

Hampton Luxury Liner
Hampton Luxury Liner was started in 2000 as a more luxurious way to travel from NYC to the Hamptons and back. The clientele quickly grew and over the years Hampton Luxury liner became the preferred method of transportation to the Hamptons and NYC for many living in NYC and the Hamptons that wanted a comfortable and affordable way to travel back and forth. In 2009, HLL was taken over by Classic Coach and things with the liner didnít change to much for years and the owner there changed the buses to Prevost as opposed to Mercedes Setra Top Class Coaches that have always been a signature of the liner.
