Gorgeous greenery and flowering finds will take center stage during The Garden Club of East Hampton's 2016 Garden Party & Plant Sale over Memorial Day weekend.

The event will debut during an opening night reception. "Our ever popular annual Garden Party & Plant Sale will take place this year on Friday, May 27th from 6 to 8 p.m., rain or shine, at Mulford Farm," noted Dorian Fuhrman.

The Garden Club of East Hampton has presented vibrant and extraordinary plant sales since 1929, with the goal of expanding attendees' knowledge of gardening and adoration for the craft. This year's soiree will feature a silent auction, floral gifts, curated perennials and more.

"Come to celebrate the unofficial start to the summer season while enjoying cocktails and hors d'oeuvres and a very extensive silent auction (featuring jewelry, food and wine, items for the home, gift certificates to some of EH best restaurants and stores, AND one of a kind shrubs and trees), all to raise money for the Garden Club of East Hampton and its many community based projects," Fuhrman said. "Come early to benefit from a wide selection of beautiful, well priced orchids from Hawaii, beautiful annuals and perennials, and a wonderful selection of vegetable and herb plants. Entry is a $50 contribution to the Garden Club."

"The Plant Sale continues on Saturday, May 28th, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Entry is free of charge and will feature much of the same selection offered the evening before," Fuhrman explained. "Beautiful annuals and perennials, a large selection of geraniums, unusual herbs and heirloom vegetable plants, and any remaining orchids."

Founded in 1914, The Garden Club of East Hampton aims "to restore, improve and protect the quality of the environment through educational programs and civic improvements."

Proceeds from the annual Plant Sale has helped the Garden Club establish and maintain The Mimi Meehan Native Plant Garden, Rachel's (historic) Garden at Mulford Farm, The Grace Lee Roberts Terrace Garden at the East Hampton Library, Millstone Park Garden and the Polinator Garden at East Hampton Town Hall. The Club, in collaboration with several community organizations, also maintains The East Hampton Railroad Station, The East Hampton Post Office renovation, and The Nature Trail & Wildlife Sanctuary.

Mulford Farm is located at 10 James Lane in East Hampton. For more information, visit gceasthampton.org.

Hampton Luxury Liner
Hampton Luxury Liner was started in 2000 as a more luxurious way to travel from NYC to the Hamptons and back. The clientele quickly grew and over the years Hampton Luxury liner became the preferred method of transportation to the Hamptons and NYC for many living in NYC and the Hamptons that wanted a comfortable and affordable way to travel back and forth. In 2009, HLL was taken over by Classic Coach and things with the liner didnít change to much for years and the owner there changed the buses to Prevost as opposed to Mercedes Setra Top Class Coaches that have always been a signature of the liner.
