On Sunday, May 29th, Southampton Cultural Center will hold, An Evening of Wine & Roses, its first-ever summer benefit.
Kevin Spirtas will serve as the Memorial Day weekend soiree’s Master of Ceremonies. The award-winning daytime actor has starred in long-running soaps Days of Our Lives and One Life to Live, as well as had roles in everything from The Boy from Oz (as Hugh Jackman’s understudy) to slasher film Friday the 13th Part VII. He’s even dabbled in cabaret on Broadway.
“We are thrilled to be the inaugural chairs of SCC’s gala and join with hundreds of community leaders, artists, and residents of Southampton in acknowledging the priceless contribution that SCC has made over the years,” said Thomas Farrell and Barbara Kushner. “We welcome the wider community to join us in this special event and lend their support to a remarkable institution which has offered thousands of people the opportunity to experience the treasures of artistic and human expression.”
The benefit will pay tribute to former Village Mayor and founder of the Center, William J. Hattrick, American fashion designer Carmen Marc Valvo, philanthropist Aura Levitas and contemporary artist Giancarlo Impiglia.
An Evening of Wine & Roses will take place at the Southampton Social Club, starting at 5 p.m. Tickets begin at $225.
Proceeds from the event will kick off the Center’s major fundraising campaign “to ensure the ability of the Center to continue to make a difference in the lives of the residents and visitors to Southampton and the surrounding communities.” Southampton Cultural Center is currently celebrating its 30th year of offering captivating arts, performance, exhibition and education opportunities for those that reside in and visit Southampton.
