On Thursday, May 12th, Independent Group Home Living program (IGHL) is hosting an intimate performance featuring Blood Sweat & Tears. The evening will begin with a VIP cocktail reception at 89 North in Patchogue (89 North Ocean Avenue, Patchogue) from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The soirée will be followed by an electrifying, intimate concert at the Patchogue Theatre (71 East Main Street, Patchogue) at 8 p.m.

"We're thrilled to present this unique fundraiser on May 12, with the opportunity to combine an IGHL VIP reception followed by the Blood Sweat & Tears Concert," expressed Walter Stockton, CEO, IGHL. "As government spending gets tighter and tighter, raising funds gets more important for our over-all mission - to continue to provide excellent services to the intellectually-disabled."

Known for their eclectic blend of rock, blues, pop music, horn arrangements and jazz improvisation, the contemporary jazz-rock American music group was founded in 1967. Bo Bice, who was the runner-up against Carrie Underwood in the fourth season of American Idol, joined Blood Sweat & Tears as lead singer in 2013. Al Kooper, Jim Fielder, Fred Lipsius, Randy Brecker, Jerry Weiss, Dick Halligan, Steve Katz and Bobby Colomby were among original members and since its start, the band has excited audiences with hits like You Made Me So Very Happy, Spinning Wheel, and And When I Die.

"To have Blood Sweat & Tears as part of this May fundraiser is an exciting way to appeal to our donors," added Stockton.

Tickets to the concert range from $50 to $100. Tickets to the VIP reception and concert are $225 or $250.

IGHL's mission is to provide quality programs, services, and support for those in need of our expertise in caring for people who are developmentally disabled and its related auxiliary services.
