Montauk clothing brand Whalebone Creative is hosting “There’s Something in the Water,” a benefit for Waves for Water on Sunday, July 27, 2014, at 7 p.m. The event will be held at Sole East in Montauk. The seasonal campaign fundraiser for Whalebone Creative and Waves for Water supports their clean water courier project as well as their commitment to healthy living and water standards on the East End.
During the benefit, attendees can check out the premiere of the NYSea movie “Empire Now,” a film showcasing the hidden surf skills of New Yorkers, a Waves for Water educational video, an art show, “Keg of the Year” contest announcement by Montauk Brewing Co., and Waves for Water filter demo. The evening will also feature DJ music from the band Cut Snake, a raffle, and a Whalebone Creative pop-up retail shop.
Both Waves for Water and Whalebone Creative are dedicated to saving lives by providing safe drinking water to the people in impoverished areas around the world. Additionally, the crew at Whalebone Creative will soon be embarking on a trip to Mexico in the spirit of the clean water courier project.
