Group for the East End is hosting “Here Comes The Sun” at Wölffer Estate Vineyard on Saturday, June 21, 2014, at 6 p.m. To honor the summer solstice, the benefit will feature small plates by North Fork Chef, Noah Schwarts, of Noah’s during the cocktail hour, and a farm-to-table meal by South Fork Chef, Todd Jacobs, of Fresh Hamptons.
Wölffer Estate Vineyard’s award-winning wines will be served, as well as tastings of Wölffer 139 Rosé Cider from the vineyard’s 1949 vintage Chevy Cider Truck. This tasting is to celebrate, “Wölffer Rosé Week.” There will also be cocktails featuring popular local spirits such as, Sag Harbor Rum, Long Island Vodka, and Pine Barrens Single Malt Whisky.
Following dinner, there will be a live auction held that includes a Bahamian golf and beach trip for four at the charming Baker’s Bay Golf & Ocean Club in the Abaco Islands, as well as a private wine dinner with the Wölffer winemaker, Roman Roth. Hit the dance floor and move along to music provided by DJ MAD MARJ, who is making her Hamptons debut during the benefit.
All of the proceeds from the “Here Comes the Sun” benefit Group for the East End’s fundamental conservation work on Long Island. The organization protects and restores the environment of eastern Long Island through education, citizen action and professional advocacy.
Tickets start at $500.
