For eleven years, The Guardian Brain Foundation board staff and medical advisors have provided life altering assistance and have made a difference in the lives of many. The non profit provides support services to children and adults with brain tumors, injuries, and brain cancer throughout Nassau and Suffolk County. They believe in the quality of life and sharing compassion.
The Guardian Brain Foundation was created in loving memory by Mary Pallotta in honor of her brother Dennis Pitti, who was succumbed by a cancerous brain tumor, and her father Salvatore Pitti who lost a year battle to CJD, a form of Mad Cow. Pallotta was devastated by the loss of her loved ones but channeled the pain and used it towards making a difference in the lives of others.
“We keep their memory alive and truly make a difference. No one knows what tomorrow will bring,” said Pallotta.
The Foundation is hosting the annual Butterfly Ball at the Carltun on November 8, 2013. This year they will honor Mark Scheeler & Robert Castiano from Metro Modes. The evening will feature entertainment, a cocktail hour, dinner, a Chinese auction, silent auction, and much more.
