New York City - On November 11, co-chairs Michael Cominotto and Dennis Basso, will host the Silver Hill Hospital Gala, a black-tie benefit to be held at Cipriani 42nd Street. Their goal is to raise money to provide financial assistance for adolescents and young adults who desperately need residential treatment but are without adequate resources to cover the costs.

Silver Hill Hospital, a not-for-profit hospital located in New Canaan, CT - only 50 miles north of New York City - provides inpatient, residential transitional living and outpatient programs for adolescents and adults covering the full spectrum of psychiatric diagnoses. "Our mission is to provide the best treatment for mental illness and addiction," said Sigurd Ackerman, MD, Silver Hill's President and Medical Director. "We also offer continuing support, counseling and education to patients and their families in every phase of illness and recovery."

The Silver Hill Gala promises to be one of the most significant and elegant parties of New York's fall social season. An exceptional group of vice-chairs are working with Dennis and Michael to ensure the success of the evening.

Special guests including Grammy award-winning artist Natalie Cole will preside as Mistress of Ceremonies, a very special live auction with Jamie Niven and dancing throughout the night to DJ Cassidy. Of note, this auspicious occasion will also mark the start of the hospital's 80th anniversary year.
