About The MPCCF
The historic Montauk Playhouse, a 50,000 square foot building overlooking Fort Pond, is quickly becoming a community treasure. Plans are in place to develop a 299-seat Performing Arts Center that will present music, dance, theater and film, as well as an Aquatics Center with lap and recreation pools and community rooms. Cultural activities, physical fitness and educational programming will continue to expand in the Montauk Playhouse, creating both a community resource and an economic engine for the East End. The MPCCF is raising private funds to complete the theater and aquatics facility.
The MPCCF has worked to preserve this building. Through the efforts of the entire community, the Montauk Playhouse was restored and brought back to life in 2006 with vital social and community services including a child day care center, a senior nutrition center, an adult day care center, a high-school regulation-sized gymnasium, a fitness center and a physical therapy practice.
