Harmont & Blaine, the distinguished Italian resort sportswear clothier will debut its Fall/Winter 2006 Collection appropriately in the Hamptons at
Nello Summertimes, 136 Main Street, Southampton on Saturday, September 9 from 5pm to 7pm at an exclusive reception to benefit Health People, the peer organization which helps people from low-income communities become leaders to effectively fight chronic ill health.
Eschewing the tents and showrooms of Fashion Week, Harmont & Blaine, a fixture in the premiere resorts of the world from chic resort around Italy's boot – Capri, Forte dei Marmi, Viareggio – as well as in sophisticated hubs Lisbon, Taipei, Shanghai, Boca Raton, Coral Gables and this year on fashionable Job's Lane in Southampton, the oldest street in America, H&B is showing in The Hamptons for the ease of its clients. The informal modeling/trunk show will display the styles, fabrics and colors that have made H&B the first choice of the East End's fashion conscious style setters.
Among the luxurious offerings that speak to America's love of the outdoors but with a distinctly European twist are extraordinarily tailored shirts, sweaters, sports coats, bomber jackets, trousers and well crafted accessories in the rich cashmere, woolens and shirtings in vibrant colors for which the Italians are justly famed. Guests will be able to try on these beautifully constructed men's furnishings to purchase on the spot.
Harmont & Blaine's trademark tiny dachshund embroidered on its shirts, sweater, trousers, caps and belts has taken over from the ubiquitous alligator and polo player among the fashion cognoscenti from the Parrish to polo, Pink Elephant to posh parties.
Harmont & Blaine is donating a portion of its sales to
Health People. There shop is located at 38 Job's Lane opposite the
Parrish Art Museum in Southampton. Call 631-287-6442 or visit their website at
