New York City - The Odegard Award Ceremony will take place on June 7, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Museum of Arts and Design (2 Columbus Circle, New York City).
The event, hosted by Odegard Inc. will serve to announce the student winners for the Odegard Award for Excellence in Rug Design. Students enrolled in design universities across the country were asked to participate. The top three student designs will be unveiled at this Awards Ceremony, and the three finalists will be awarded during this evening as first, second and third place. Additionally, eight more designs were each awarded a Juror Award, and will bare the name of a judge. These top 11 designs will be on display the evening of June 7 at the Museum of Arts and Design, then go on tour to galleries at top tier universities across the U.S., starting in fall 2010.

Holly Hotchner, the Nanette L. Laitman Director of the Museum of Arts and Design together with
David McFadden, the Museum's Chief Curator, industrial designer
Stephen Burks, textile designer
Jack Lenor Larsen, fashion designer
Mary McFadden, artist
Michele Oka Doner, and
Calvin Tsao, co-founder of Tsao & McKown Architects. This event has an impressive roster of guests from the interior design community such as
Ralph Pucci of Ralph Pucci International.
