Paul Koster Benefit will be held on March 20. (Mackenzie Koster)

Southampton - The Paul Koster Memorial Benefit and Have a Heart Community Trust will present "Monte Carlo Night" on March 20, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tickets are $60, and include $100 in Chips. "Monte Carlo Nights" is open to the public.

The event will be held at Four Seasons Caterer, 15 Prospect Street, corner of North Main Street, in Southampton.

Guests will have the opportunity to try their luck for charity at the "Monte Carlo Nights" event at the Four Seasons Caterer. Two acclaimed non-profit organizations servicing the East End - Have A Heart Community Trust and the Paul Koster Memorial Fund - decided to team up with one big fundraiser to benefit the numerous in-need families residing and working in the Hamptons. According to Have A Heart president Bill Wright, "Over the past year, we've seen a huge surge in requests from people who have lost their jobs and are struggling to provide even the basics for their families. People all around us are living very close to the edge and Have A Heart is stepping in to help." The $60 ticket price includes a sumptuous tasting buffet, open bar, and $100 worth of casino chips for use at the gaming tables. There will also be a silent auction, raffle and a "Texas hold 'em" tournament.

Have A Heart Community Trust, which was founded in 1991 by Rose and John Dios, is the only group on Eastern Long Island able to provide immediate, direct emergency relief in times of individual and family crisis. The organization has recently helped save families from eviction and helped to provide for basic needs like food and clothing. In the midst of one of the worst winters on record, Have A Heart also held a big coat drive and funded a lunch program.

The Paul Koster Memorial Fund, created by in 2003 in by Jean Mackenzie, is devoted to helping people in our community achieve success in reaching their goals of furthering their education. The fund assists select organizations and community service programs, as well as awarding scholarships to high school graduates, and benefits local organizations: SYA, SYS, Time for Teens, and the Paul Koster Memorial Scholarship funds ($1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors at SHS).
