Amy Tarr. Saunders and Associates: A Higher Form of Realty just is a corporate sponsor. Says Executive Director,
Steve Long, "Since before CMEE's building opened, the Museum's summer fundraiser "Under the Stars," was vital to supporting our efforts to meet our mission. With the Museum now attracting 40,000 visitors each year, dozens of parents asked the Museum to host a fundraiser that their children can enjoy, and so the Board and Co-Chairs of the fundraiser decided to shift the event's focus to a fun day out for families. We are here to serve families, and events for children are what we do best! We're very excited and look forward to seeing our property transform into a Summer Family Fair!"
Funds raised from CMEE "Under the Sea" will help support and enhance the myriad of year-round programs, classes, workshops, exhibits and special events at the Children's Museum, with a special focus on school programs, literacy classes, mentorship workshops, parenting groups, and community-based exhibits. In the last year, CMEE served 40,000 children and families from diverse backgrounds, with groundwork and initiatives in the works to extend this reach in the coming year.
The Children's Museum of the East End's mission is to create year-round opportunities for children and families to discover their community and world through interactive exhibits and educational programs; to nurture curiosity, self-directed learning and the joy of discovery. CMEE provides children with affordable programs and the opportunity to work with talented professionals in the areas of the arts, sciences and history in a safe environment.
