The Long Island Wine Country is gathering a spectacular group of 20 Long Island wine producers, who specialize in a variety of styles and shades, to celebrate the region's winemaking during the annual Harvest East End event. Held on Saturday, August 5 at the beautiful Martha Clara Vineyards in Riverhead, attendees will have the chance to savor local wines, mingle with the area's winemakers, and nosh on exceptional bites from local markets and farms.

"It is an honor and pleasure to be part of the committee organizing Harvest East End - Back to Our Roots," shared event chairman Juan Micieli-Martinez. "This year the event is about honoring posthumously the men and women that founded and continued the legacy of the Long Island Wine Community."

From 2 to 7 p.m., attendees will be treated to sips from Anthony Nappa Wines, AsIf Wines, Bedell Cellars, Brooklyn Oenology, Diliberto Winery, Harbes, Hound's Tree, Lieb Cellars, Long Island Merlot Alliance, Macari Vineyards, Martha Clara Vineyards, McCall Wines, Osprey's Dominion, Palmer Vineyards, Pellegrini Vineyards, Raphael, Sannino Bella Vita Vineyards, Sparkling Pointe, SUHRU, T'Jara, Wölffer Estate Vineyard, and more, which they can pair with hors d'oeuvres from Lombardi's Love Lane, as well as local shellfish provided by Long Island Oyster Growers Association.

"We intend to honor them by celebrating and enjoying the wondrous bounty that is the East End," noted Micieli-Martinez. "It promises to be a fun filled afternoon of delicious food, World Class wines, and celebration."

In addition to exploring the Long Island food and wine scene, guests will enjoy live music and a silent auction with a wide variety of spectacular packages that highlight the region and artisanal food items.

"We invite everyone to honor their legacy and celebrate with us!" added Micieli-Martinez.

Proceeds from Harvest East End support cooperative initiatives dedicated to progressing viticulture, sustainable agriculture and community relations.

Admission is $75 for General Admission (3 p.m. entry ) and $125 for the Winemaker Experience (2 p.m. and exclusive meet and greet opportunities with Long Island winemakers, tasting of library and reserve wines.)
