Are you over the typical 5K and looking for a competition that adds the excitement of completing strenuous challenges as you race for the finish line? Then you're going to want to make sure to sign up for The Titan Run on Saturday, October 22nd.
"The Titan Run is a 5K Timed Obstacle Run for runners 10 years old + and is at the 4H Camp in Riverhead," explained Connie Pellechia, President of The Titan Run. "Runners will have to overcome over 25 obstacles."

It will be no easy feat to work your way through the course, which includes crossfit, marksman and shooting components. "They will run, climb, jump, crawl and shoot their way to Titan victory," noted Pellechia. "Titan is Long Island's premier OCR and challenges its participants to push limits and achieve the impossible."
The arduous route is meant to help participants bond as they complete each stage. "The terrain is tough and the runners work together as a team to get through the course," she added.
Previous Titan Runs have been held on Long Island, but this marks the first Riverhead-based event. "It's an amazing day charged with energy and our fourth one on Long Island," she noted. "It has been a pleasure working with everyone from the Town of Riverhead to the Camp coordinators, very exciting for us."

Along with a fierce competition, the event will also include live music by Strecker, a food and beer truck, vendors and demonstrations.
And if you have a mini Titan who is feeling left out, there will be a special race for those under 10-years-old. "We also have an amazing Tiny Titan course for runners 4 to 9 as well," Pellechia shared. "Tiny titan is only $20."
