The Peconic Community School is inviting the East End community to join them during the School's summer benefit, SHARE: Your Dreams for Education, on Sunday, August 21st from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hallockville Museum Farm's Naugles Barn.

This year's event will honor Patricia Eckhardt, PhD, founder and learning specialist of the School, and the late Jane Llewellyn Smith, author of Through the Passageway: The Education of a Teacher at City and Country School.

"We're thrilled to be honoring one of our school's founders this year, Trish Eckardt, who has amazed us all over the past five years with her ability to balance the demands of the school, family life, and a PhD program, all with an ever-present beaming smile," explained Co-Executive Director of Peconic Community School, Liz Casey Searl. "The late Jane Llewellyn Smith, our other honoree, devoted her career to progressive education with her time spent teaching at City and Country School, and inspired the PCS staff through her book, as well as her joyful, dedicated spirit."

Guests will enjoy food by chef Martine Abitbol (including a raw bar), wine from Shinn Vineyard Estate, beer from the Southampton Publick House, Joe & Liza's ice cream, and s'mores by the fire pit as the night comes to a close. Points East will provide the evening's live entertainment, and attendees can also compete during lawn games. Guests will have the chance to enjoy a laid-back evening, while supporting a local school.

"Share is not your typical East End fundraiser, lawn games, fire pits, and a raw bar give it a laid back vibe enjoyed by North Fork locals, newcomers, and visitors alike," added Casey Searl.

Tickets to SHARE: Your Dreams for Education are $125 in advance.
