will host their 20th Annual Community Mosaic Street Painting Festival on Sunday, May 29th from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Families, friends, artists, musicians, and lovers of art are encouraged to come enjoy featured artisan vendors, gourmet food trucks, and so much more.
This festival draws over 5,000 local residents and tourists each year to downtown Riverhead at the start of every summer.
"The Community Mosaic Street Painting makes the arts accessible to everyone in a very welcoming environment," remarked East End Arts Executive Director, Patricia Snyder. "It gives opportunities for everyone to interact and enjoy family, friends and strangers. It also demonstrates the power of the arts to bring together diverse communities in a positive way."
2016 artists, artisans, and crafts vendors include A. Graziano Photography, Victoria Beckert watercolors, Deja Vu Creative, Sharon Gajajiva hand-stitched Czach glass beaded jewelry, Giving Tree hand enameled butterfly flow leaf design necklaces, HL Sea & Beach Glass Jewelry, Island Girls Boutique handmade hair bows, and Yan Yan Liang jewelry. Macaroni Kid Riverbed and Rainbow Rosie Faceprinting will also be present at this year's festival.
Grab a bite to eat at the many gourmet food truck vendors including Blondie
's Bake Shop, Eat Me, Drink Me, Hamptons Beach Treats, Hines Catering, and Sticky Waffles.
"The beauty of the Community Mosaic is that it reflects the community in every way," added Snyder. "The street painters are a mix of professional artists, first time street painters, families, and children."
In the case of rain, the event will be held on Monday, May 30th from 2 to 5 p.m.
