Polish Food, Dance, Drink And More To Be Showcased During 41st Annual Polish Town Fair

On Saturday, August 15th and Sunday, August 16th, the 41st Annual Polish Town Fair is coming to Riverhead's Polish Town, USA. The two-day festival will feature a free Street Fair and Carnival from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., as well as booths showcasing a variety of traditional Polish food, crafts, imports, arts, jewelry and specialties.
Saturday highlights will include a flag raising ceremony with a Polish choir, plus a demonstration of Polish customs at 11:30 a.m., a reenactment of an old fashioned Polish Wedding at 12 p.m. on the steps of St. Isidore's RC Church, a special visit from Polish Town Queen Claudia Zacharewicz, the chance to taste Polish Town's famous kielbasa sandwiches, pierogi and grandma's polish babka bread, music from DJ Hank and six hours of polka fun during a Polish Dance Festival at Polonaise Park, starting at 5 p.m. John Gora, along with Mike Costa and the Beat, will provide the polka sounds.
On Sunday, join the Polish Town Civic Association under the Pavilion for family entertainment beginning at 12 p.m. The afternoon will also showcase a lesson on making several Polish culinary favorites at 1 p.m., a Kielbasa Eating Contest at 3 p.m., a dance performance by the St. Maximillion Polish School at 3:30 p.m., and Corn Husking Contest at 4 p.m.
