"The unique ambiance of the LI Aquarium, along with all the entertainment will assure a spectacular night," said Aid to the Developmentally Disabled (ADD) Executive Director Donald Rieb. "The most notable part about this event is knowing it will help support all of the people that utilize ADD's wonderful programs and services in all 30 of our residences."

On Thursday, March 19th from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., join ADD for some Irish charm combined with a mix of aquatic life during the 1st Annual Shamrock Shindig at the Long Island Aquarium. Supporters will enjoy an Irish buffet, comedy entertainment, Irish dancers and pipers, drinks, and exclusive access to the aquarium. Attendees will also have the chance to watch the brave winner of ADD's Shark Tank Showdown as they are lowered into the aquarium's 120,000-gallon Lost City tank for an up and close swim with the sharks. Shark Tank Showdown nominees include Councilwoman Jodi Giglio, ADD Board President Vinny Barry as well as the entire ADD executive team. Help choose who goes into the shark tank here: www.crowdrise.com.

Proceeds from the benefit will support ADD's mission to create an environment where people with a range of abilities are enthusiastically nurtured to develop and direct services that recognize their unique desires, ambitions, values and abilities. "ADD is excited to be launching this new event that promises to be fun-filled for all our guests," noted Rieb.

Tickets begin at $65.

Long Island Aquarium is located at 431 East Main Street in Riverhead. For more information, call 631-727-6220 or visit www.addny.org.
