'Tis the season to listen to holiday classics like "Jingle Bells‎" and "White Christmas" non-stop. So, why not enjoy it live during a complimentary concert or two?

On Friday, December 4th, Peconic Landing is hosting The Harbor Bells, who will perform several beloved seasonal hits. The show will take place at the Peconic Landing Community Center (1500 Brecknock Road, Greenport) at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free. On Thursday, December 10th, Peconic Landing will welcome The Long Island Brass Guild for a Holiday Concert. The group, who has performed together since the 1970's, will spread holiday cheer as they fill Peconic Landing Community Center with joyful music. Admission is also free and the concert begins at 7:30 p.m. For more information visit peconiclanding.com.

East End Arts is also presenting a duo of free shows, starting with a performance by the East End Arts Chamber Ensemble. On Tuesday, December 8th, the Chamber Ensemble, which features six student musicians, who have been practicing together in East End Arts' tuition-free fellowship program under the direction of faculty member Jeannie Woelker, will show off all their hard work during the musical affair. "Students have grown a great deal in this group and have voiced appreciation of the contributions of each instrument to the ensemble," shared East End Arts Education Director Diane Giardi. The show will take place at the Riverhead United Methodist Church (204 East Main Street, Riverhead) and begin at 6:30 p.m. On Saturday, December 12th, East End Arts and the Riverhead United Methodist Church are presenting the Joy of the Season Concert. The collaborative event will showcase East End Arts School students and members of the Riverhead United Methodist Church band and choir. The extravaganza will also take place at the Riverhead United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. For more information visit www.eastendarts.org.
