Stained Glass Artist Maria Daddino And Photographer Katherine Liepe-Levinson Use Nature As Inspiration For North Fork Exhibit

East End Arts is debuting a new art show at the Rosalie Dimon Gallery featuring photography by Katherine Liepe-Levinson of Riverhead and stained glass works by Maria Daddino of East Quogue. The show opened on Friday, May 1st and will be on view through Wednesday, July 29th.

Photographer Katherine Liepe-Levinson studied at the International Center for Photography in New York City, from 2008 through 2012. Her work has been showcased on journal, magazine, and book covers, and has also been exhibited in galleries and invitational and juried shows. Along with her focus on photography, Liepe-Levinson has performed as a professional dancer, actor, and writer on and off Broadway.

For the East End Arts exhibit, the artist was inspired by a local wildlife refuge. "The works for this show come from a new series I have been working on for the past two years called, The Pond Series. All works were shot at the Quogue Wildlife Refuge on Long Island." said Liepe-Levinson. "The subtle fresh water pond, with its changing water tables and interdependent flora and fauna, is a testament to the preciousness of our natural resources, which we too often take for granted or neglect."

Stained glass artist Maria Daddino's panels have been showcased during several previous East End Arts exhibits. The self-taught artist also took inspiration from nature, whether it be its nuances, textures, hues and moods, Daddino transposes that feeling into her designs. "From the moment I first saw a Tiffany glass creation, I was in love..." Maria Daddino noted. "I stared transfixed as the light danced through the soft pinks and greens of that Tiffany Dogwood Lamp. Forty years later I can easily recall the excitement of discovering such astonishing beauty."

An Artists' Reception featuring local wines and artisanal cheeses will be held at the Rosalie Dimon Gallery on Sunday, May 17th from 3 to 5 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Rosalie Dimon Gallery at the Jamesport Manor Inn is located at 370 Manor Lane in Jamesport. For more information, visit www.eastendarts.org.

Hampton Luxury Liner
Hampton Luxury Liner was started in 2000 as a more luxurious way to travel from NYC to the Hamptons and back. The clientele quickly grew and over the years Hampton Luxury liner became the preferred method of transportation to the Hamptons and NYC for many living in NYC and the Hamptons that wanted a comfortable and affordable way to travel back and forth. In 2009, HLL was taken over by Classic Coach and things with the liner didnít change to much for years and the owner there changed the buses to Prevost as opposed to Mercedes Setra Top Class Coaches that have always been a signature of the liner.
