Sylvester Manor is hosting an intimate Valentine's Day concert featuring bluegrass band, Eastbound Freight. The veteran group has been showcasing their talent on Long Island and the New York Metropolitan area for a quarter-century.

"Their vocal and instrumental performances have been honed to a comfortable burnish that can only be achieved by 25 years of playing music together," said American fiddler Kenny Kosek about the band.

Consisting of John Brisotti, Dave Thompson, Bill DeTurk, Bruce Barry, and Bill Ayasse, Eastbound Freight's members share a life-long appreciation for bluegrass and a fondness for the big sounds of the original groups. They've performed at venues including The Lincoln Center Out-Of-Doors Festival in New York City, the Inter Media Arts Center in Huntington, and the Harry Chapin Memorial Stage in Huntington, and have also been featured during live radio broadcasts on WBAZ, WKCR, and WUSB, as well as National Public Radio's Acoustic Connections program.

Eastbound Freight is performing at Sylvester Manor on Saturday, February 14th at 6 p.m. Tickets are $20.

Sylvester Manor is located at 80 North Ferry Road in Shelter Island. For more information, call 631-749-0626 or visit sylvestermanor.org.

Hampton Luxury Liner
Hampton Luxury Liner was started in 2000 as a more luxurious way to travel from NYC to the Hamptons and back. The clientele quickly grew and over the years Hampton Luxury liner became the preferred method of transportation to the Hamptons and NYC for many living in NYC and the Hamptons that wanted a comfortable and affordable way to travel back and forth. In 2009, HLL was taken over by Classic Coach and things with the liner didn’t change to much for years and the owner there changed the buses to Prevost as opposed to Mercedes Setra Top Class Coaches that have always been a signature of the liner.
