Southampton - Josh Stewart, a Security Officer at Southampton Hospital, has been chosen as the Hospital's Employee of the Quarter for the second quarter of 2010. Josh's selection was celebrated at a luncheon in his honor, where President and CEO Robert S. Chaloner presented him with a trophy recognizing his achievements.

A resident of Yaphank, Stewart is the first employee of the quarter who has been with the Hospital for less than a year. Stewart began working at the Hospital in January of 2010 and has already been recognized not only by his co-workers as an outstanding employee but by patients and their families who visit the Hospital. In a recent letter submitted by a patient's family, Stewart was noted as "going far beyond his duties in accommodating our family whom he had never met.

With Mr. Stewart's smile and gentle manner he seemed as though he genuinely understood our pain." Southampton Hospital is very lucky to have Josh Stewart as part of the team.
